World Products Heads???
Is anybody framiliar with the world products heads??? I have a chance to buy a set of S/R Torquer 305 heads for $200 with about 30,000 miles on them.They are supposed to have swirl polished Manley valves in them.What are they worth?? What kind of gains will I see from these heads??The guy selling them said he picked up a full second by bolting them on.I think that is a little far fetched.What do you all think??My sig has all my mods in it so far. I was thinking the heads and a new cam would wake up the lil' 305.Let me know Thanks!!!!!

Thanks for the input Denny. But keep in mind I want the Camaro to run and as much trouble as the Blazer is giving me thats probably not the best idea for now.If you check out this months Chevy High Performance they built a 4.3 putting out 300HP and they say it's mild....That one I would swap into the Camaro.

S/R stands for Stock Replacement. These heads have some bowl work done to them and better springs installed, but otherwise you're just getting a set of replacement heads.
If you don't plan on any other mods when you swap the heads, the heads alone should be worth maybe 25HP. If you can find a nice cam to match and a set of roller rockers then you'd be in business.
For $200 i'm sure you can't go wrong unless they're cracked or something.

I had a set of dart heads and a crane compucam, tes headers and slp runners years ago and ran 14.0 ets. I wanted more and did a 350. I sold everything but the cam. I still have it in the garage. I think it has about 6000 miles on it. $100.00 bucks if you want it. I think it was like 455/465 lift. Like the old LT1 cams.
14.4 is strong for a 305. I don't think you will pick up 1.0 with the heads and cam. The heads and cam are a better combo than stock tho.

The heads are on the guys car so they are in working order.I talked to him more about it today at work.He said he picked them up for about $525 new and had the manley stainless steel swirl polished valves installed.They have about 30,000 miles on them.So I pretty much consider them mine when he gets them off the car.I am going to do a cam also when I do the heads I need to do some reserach to find out what is the best on for my application.So if you all have any suggestions send them my way.It is mostly a street car that does get an occasional flogging at Stanton.After the heads and cam.I am plannig on a stall and some smaller longtubes.Cris Ja shoot me some e-mail about the cam with some specs and stuff and we will talk.Thanks for your input guys.
