Tomarrow trans coming out (PROBLEM)....

Got all the tools ready, car is in the air as of tonight, and toamrrow morning i start the removal of the trans so i can send the clutch setup back to Star Spec for a defect (flywheel was cut to short from factory, no biggie). Wish me luck all, its my first time doing a job this big. Any words of wisdom? I am thinking my car is to low though, i have 5 ton jack stands all around 4 clicks up, suggestions? Is that high enough?

Just dont work on it when you are tired, when Patrick(KWKSLVR) on here and I pulled my tranny bolted everything back up as far as cross member and tranny mount, but I forgot to tighten the bolts on the top of the tranny. So remember to tighten the bolts.

Ahhhh, I remember how fun it was to remove and tighthen those top 2 bolts. I sure was glad I had a set of ratchet wrenches for those.

I have the drive shaft out, everything out of the way, I am currently removing the 8 15mm bolts from the trann where it connects to the bellhousing. I got the base 3 out no problem. But O MAN the ones on the passenger and drive side, to the right and left of the ones i took off (not top ones) They are on SO tight, i have broken 2 15mm sockets so far, I am using a 1/2 drive with a 3/8 15mm socket w/ adapter of course. I literaly broke them apart, and the bolt has not been rouded or anything, its just sitting there looking at me laughing Tried a breaker bar (1/2 and 3/8) with an 18' extension and then blew another 15mm socket into 3 peices. Ideas? I dont have air tools or access to them.

get a good 15 mm socket. I use"SNAP ON"and have never broke a socket. even when useing an impact on them. are you using 6 point or 12 point sockets?
