Tire sizes(skinnies/15x8's)

You can put a cheap pepboys 155 or 165 tire on the front if you want. Thats the best way to go if your going to go around town with skinnies on. For the track, it'd also work fine unless your putting over 115 in the traps. The ideal track tire would be a track skinny tire

I run a 165/15 VW beetle tire on the front and have had no problems.
I have 15x10s on the rear with 275/50/15s on em. I think I am going to go with a 60 next time to fill my wheelwell up and get me a little more sidewall.

The cheapest tire for the front you can get online from pepboys. 165r15 and they will ship it for free. The tire is $25. Just make sure to order way in advance cuz if its out of stock it'll take forever (2 weeks) to get to you. I've got 275x50 nittos on the back and cheapest I found them was discounttiredirect.com

Kumho makes a 165/80-15, with a 25.4" diameter (vs. 25.65" stock), and it fits on a 4.5" rim. Tire Rack sells it for $27. Note that the weight rating on a tire this narrow is only 1,168#, and the stock 245/50's had a load rating of over 1,600#.
