Tire size question

Ok I'm probably gonna buy the telstar set up but I've got this opurtunity to buy these 28x11.5x15's et streets. My question is would they work on the 15x8's in the rear. Heres a link http://www.gmhightechperformance.com...09gmhtp_stock/
That z28 has the 15x8 set up but with 26x10.5x15. It looks like theres plenty of room to go up into the fenderwell but from left to right its hard to tell. Can anyone fill me in. I really dont want to pass these tires up.

I've got 26x11.6x16 ET Streets and had them on the car once.. I wouldn't run anything taller unless I lifted the rear end.

26" is even a little taller than stock.

A lot of people running slicks.... they just didn't happen to be online and read your post in the 13 minutes you managed to wait... .

The ET Streets in 28x11.5-15 will fit on 8" rims, according to the data on the M/T website.

I ran Hoosier QTP's in 28x11.5-15 on a 10" wide rim. They will fit in the rear wheel wells with the correct backspacing. With 10" wide rims and a 7.5" BS, I had to rely on the hammering on the inside fender liners that I had already done for my 315/35-17 DR's on 17x11 rims. With an 8" wide rim, and a 5.5" BS, or even a 6" BS, you shouldn't have any problem at all fitting them into the wheel wells.

Where I got in trouble with the QTP's was when the tires started to grow at speeds over 120mph.... they grew enough to hit the sheet metal at the front of the fender opening. But the 28" ET Streets are actually almost 1/2" smaller in diameter than the 28" QTP's, so you shouldn't have any problems at all.

For a pic of 28x10.5 15W ET Drags on a 15x10 7.5BS Pro-Star, click on the "Trailer Queen...." link in my signature.

Well I dont think im gonna go with the tires because i really dont think i have the gears to support that big of a tire. Plus Im on a stock stall right now. Id really like to get them cause its a good deal but Im no where near the kind of hp your putting out Fred and they're the same tires as the ones your running. I'll probably go with the 26x10.5's hopefully those will hold up to the n20. Im thinking they will. The gears will like the smaller tire too.
