which tire to get??

i got one flat tire (too much tire burning) on the rear driver side. i think my posi is broken because that's the only tire that goes bald. anyway, it's flat right now, and i would like to replace it with a bigger tire. should i go with a bigger tire, or just stick with 215/60/16 since it's cheaper and i still got three of them sticking to my car. i would like to buy 255/55/16 to replace both of the rear tires, should i do this? if yes where can i buy the cheapest tire???

my tires were slashed at a local shop last summer. i had them put 245/50/16's on front and 255/50/16's in the rear. i love them and they fit great. i ended up going with kelly charger (i think?) tires and got them at 1/2 of cost for my troubles.

i'm confused now, KUMHO ECSTA 711, or KUMHO 712, or KUMHO STX?? seems to me that kumho 712 is the best around those three, and kumho stx will be a great match up for my front tire. and if i buy kumho 711, i can buy the all four, but i heard they dont last very long. where if i buy the 712 or stx, i can only afford two.

I have the khumo estaca 12's and I hate them. I have the 245/45/17. I get no damn traction. I bought them from tire rack. I would go with the next grad khumo up. The mtx or whatever they are called. It might be that I have a 17 inch rim that they suck, but I get no traction.

Yeah thats what i have. Bridgestone Potenza RE730's. All arund. They are 172 a tire at tire rack. Pretty damn good tire too and the tread pattern looks pretty mean.

Discounttire.com ( i might have spelled it wrong) is another place just to see. Might check the boards. you can get a good deal on 16in tires cause the demand isnt as great IMO for like 17in tires...thus lowering the price

I have Firestone Firehawk SZ-50 EP's in size 255/50-ZR16 (all 4) on chrome Salad Shooters, I have only run them a few thousand miles but they are outstanding. They hook really good in dry or wet, a HUGE improvement in traction, handling and ride comfort over the old Goodyear GSA (245/50-ZR16). I got the local firestone shop to match the Tirerack.com price. So far I don't regret buying a top of the line tire. Tirerack has customer reviews that are really helpfull in making a choice. I actually bought two sets of these tires, my wifes Probe GT (225/50-ZR16) got a set at the same time, they made big difference on both cars, if you live in a rainy state these are the tires to have.
