Tip for stuck ground cable?

Can anybody confirm whether the small black and white wire from the PCM to the block can cause a slow crank when warm? That is one ground that I did not clean up. I'm wondering if this could be a culprit.

as far as ground cables go I just bought a 1996 z 28 and looking around in engine compartment I found a ground cable on the drivers fender that was just hanging any idea what it was supposed to be grounded to thanks richard

If its the braided ground strap, it is bolted to the subframe. The other end is connected to the stud the holds the coil/ICM to the head. Is this the ground you referring to?

Don't think so. There are folks that have mistakenly left this disconnected before.

Then I imagine my battery is no good from the years of driving with the old alternator. It was only putting out 13 volts and anytime I get that battery tested it just barely passes - CCA's are well below what's on the battery label.
