Timing Chain Replacement Set

I'm removing the timing cover to replace the seals, and figure I should replace the timing chain and gears while I am in there (119k on the clock). I will only be spinning to 6k and putting down around 310-315rwhp after the tune and headers, so I was looking for a good stock-like, bolt in replacement.

I hear Pro Gear is a good option for this, but can't seem to find the part number, or a retailer, for a '96 LT1 set.

Anyone know where I can get a pro gear set, or recommendations for another stock replacement, bolt in, no moding to make it fit, timing chain set?

Thanks,
Thomas.

I vote for a stock GM set.

another vote for stock replacement if you dont want to spend the big bucks for a double roller. I hear of a lot of people with high hp cars still using the stock timing set.

Re: Timing Chain Replacement Set

Thanks for the input guys. I was leaning towards the Pro Gear set because they are inexpensive. If the stock set is reasonable, I would definitely consider using it instead.

Anyone have a part number for the '96 - '97 stock timing set?

Thomas.
