So i'm putting in an lt4 hotcam soon and had a few questions about the timing chain. Would I be able to get away just buying a new chain itself? A buddy has a a 93 TA he just put a hotcam in and just bought a stock replacement chain from GM. If i can get away with just the chain, could i use an lt4 chain? Car has 124 K miles

 

I dont see why stock replacement wouldnt work fine.

 

The LT4 chain needs the LT4 gears to work. Stock replacement should be fine.
