Re: timing chain question

The double roller that 99% of use is the Cloyes 9-3145.

It *will not work* with a non vented opti and factory water pump. There is no double roller that will work with the factory water pump.

You must run:

95-up timing cover
95-up vented opti

Re: timing chain question

Timing covers you can pick up in the for sale section all the time for like 20-30$

Clearancing the cover is done the quickest with a die grinder. Just put grease on the chain, present the cover, put a few of the bolts in, turn the engine by hand, see where it rubs. Grind that area down, and repeat until you stop seeing grease rubbed on the cover. Putting the gasket later just gives you that much more room afterwards.
