Timing chain question

I'm about to change the cam in my 94. In the process I'm converting to a vented Opti and installing my CSR electric water pump.

What timing chain can I use?? Because I don't need the pump drive, can I just use a standard double roller timming chain?? Just looking for something cheaper than the expensive LT1 parts if possible/

Re: Timing chain question

You can use the 79 dollarr double roller, but the timing cover needs to be adjusted a bit for clearance. I'm sure there's other "single" timing chains that will work without being modified though.

Re: Timing chain question

I was just looking at Summit and the Cloys Double Roller #3145 is what everyone is recommending $79.88 ( factory roller ) , BUT the one below it #3151 says NEW LT1/LT4/L99 (95-up) is $349.95 ....WTF is the difference?! ---
