Timing Chain cover

I saw today on Horsepower TV that they used a new (to me) type of timing chain cover. The one they used was 2 pieces so you didnt have to drop your oil pan to take off your cover. Do they make them for the LT1's? If so where can I get 1?

thanks
matt

they have them for the regular small block chevy, but I've never seen one for the LT1, if you saw one for the LT1 specifically hook us up with the info

I was thinking of maybe getting the spacer piece and buying a used timing cover and grinding down the lip to make it work...you think that will work???

thanks

They have made those for the regular SBCs for many years. It's not really the cure-all they would make it out to be. I don't find it that much trouble to loosen the oil pan and drop it down a little.

i think that would of saved my oil pan from ripping in the corner when i took off my timing cover.i even backed out the front 2 bolts on the pan but i dont think that was enough
