if you can get traction you should be somewhere in the mid 12's.

That is assuming you have a CAI and a cutout or good catback.

Ditch the cam and afr's and get a set of Lloyd elliot heads/cam for cheaper. On the stock bottem end and with a 3000 stall, 3.73's, and et streets(and the other basic bolt ons) I ran 11.84 at 114.7 with his heads and a cam smaller than all 3 he offers now.

I'm confident in the combo

Already ordered the AFR's....and just need to match a cam up to them......and will probably up the stall in the trans to 3000......heard a lot of positive things about the AFR's from people in the business and people i trust......there are pricy but i so is racing......about the feedback....i was just hoping for mid to high 12's......so of you guys think even better times???.....sounds good to me......if i ran slicks would i need to upgrade the rear end axles....or should stock hold everything together.....

Sounds like a good combo to me. But as with most of the cars on this site, if you plan on getting on it often, in my opinion, you should plan on beefing up the rear to a 12 bolt or 9" ford. JMHO

Most of us spend all our money and time on increasing the power, but if you can't put it to the ground without breaking the rear end, it is just a matter of time before you wind up spending 2500-3000 on a bullet-proof rear end. JMHO

Those mods will get you right where you want to be for times, with good driveability also.

Beware that you may have a hard time hooking up with a 4.10 rear end because you will have a mountain of TQ in 1st gear. If you put on slicks to compensate you might be saying bye bye to your rear end like others have said.

Just my thoughts. I could be wrong.

Have fun.

In most cases with 10Bolts its the teeth on the ring gear. they will get some teeth stripped off. Best way to keep your 10Bolt a little longer would be to hang around a lower gear ratio such as 3.23 or 3.42. Thats beacuse the lower you go gear wise the ticker the gear and teeth are so you will have less of a chance of breaking them. I should take my own advice snapped teeth on 4.10' once and 3.73's twice Need that 12Bolt
