Hey everyone.. Its time to start on my summer upgrades..

First thing that is up is headers and catback, but I want to do more.. I want to get into low 13's. I thinking heads and cam..

Now, when it comes to engine internals, Im a total newbie.. What do I need to do heads and cam properly?? I'm looking at the CC306 cam, but have no idea for heads or whatever else I need.

The more help you can give me, the better. (where I can buy for a decent price would be good also)

P.S. Also, how much HP can I push out before I need to worry about going with a different rear end?

 

headers and catback should get you to low 13's,

cam and heads take you into the 12's

all depends on your budget and future plans,

Stock rear - auto is better than M6 due to launch stress - don't need to worry about it until after head and cam.

 

Any other suggestions?? Thought I would get more considering alot of you have done these upgrades

 

If you're going with heads/cam, your aim should be for the 11's, not low 13's lol. If you have an auto, then heads/cam, converter, sticky tires, intake, exhaust and gears can get you 11's. If you have a manual, you might need to throw rear end in there so you can run some stickies and not bust your rear to all hell.

 

Well, Im pretty much set on the CC306..

As far as heads, what do you guys suggest?? Is there anything else I would need for this upgrade? And where should I look for prices?
