I dont see drag radials on that list for one thing and without them alone I'd say no way in hell you'll run 12.2 with an M6 and the other mods listed. One thing many of the guys that run into the 12's with boltons had are 1.6 or 1.65 roller rockers which help a lot and some had electric wp's too which also help quite a bit. I really don't consider RR's a bolton, they are as much of a bolton as a cam is IMO. They did rule them a bolton for the shootout which is cool though, just not a bolton in my book. I had pretty similar mods to whats on your list when I ran a best of 12.92 with boltons, swaybar hooked up, running stock rockers, no electric wp and hardly any weight reduction (spare, jack, backseat removed) And as mentioned Russ had some pretty major weight reduction at the time to come in at 3360 with him in it. It was still an awesome time but his weight reduction helped him quite a bit.

Russ's car was light to begin with. I think it only weighed 3500lbs with him in it before he even touched it. So then he takes out 150lbs to get the car down to 3360lbs. Thats only 1.5 tenths of a gain. You cant say his ET's were just from weight reduction.

If his car started out at 3500 with him in it then 150lbs isnt all that major, I didnt realize his car was so light to start. Either way he really knows how to drive an M6, I'm not putting down his times or anything.

Yeah I know you werent putting his times down. No 2 cars will run the exact same and I guess he just so happened to get a good one and had the right setup. Not to mention he can drive like hell.

anything is possible and im thinking to my self you guys pick apart everyones times when they post them and most of you ask if they are corrected times.... not sure what it means but did you ask him if these times were corrected or not? and you have to admit that not all of these cars are created even close to even. i know my car is faster my friends same year and drivetrain only i have 80k miles on him and he has more mods.

I have learned not to say "never", however I will comment that the ET is highly unlikely under normal circumstances and with a car that can be driven on the street. FYI: My car is 3600 with me in it and I am worth 200 pounds. Racing seats, aluminum driveshaft, no carpet liner, no console, no bumper supports...

I dont consider heads and cam bolt on anymore. I mean I know they technically "bolt on" but thats MAJOR modification!

That car wasn't heads and cam. If you read the page, it says heads and cam have since been added. So it was boltons when it ran that.
