Do your covers still have the supports inside? If so, then you may wanna go back and retighten the bolts.

I had to cut the supports out of mine, to get the rockers to fit. After that, they always leaked. I eventually bought some better covers.

So they are, or are not leaking?

If they are not leaking, I wouldn't mess with anything.

If they are leaking, I would try to retighten all the bolts. They can loosen up after a heat cycle. I had to retighten mine, after I got the car to operating temps and let it cool back off.

edit: 107FT lb? You TQ lugnuts to 100ft lbs, not VC bolts. Who said 107 for VC bolts?

They should not need excessive tightening. Put your valve cover on a level surface to see if you have warped it.
