Tight Valve Covers
Tight Valve Covers
I took mine off to install my lt's and i put them on but i dont have a torqe wrench deal so i tighted them pretty damn good because i filled it with oil and some was leaking can i over tighten then and if so how can i tell with out a torqe wrench!
Do your covers still have the supports inside? If so, then you may wanna go back and retighten the bolts.
I had to cut the supports out of mine, to get the rockers to fit. After that, they always leaked. I eventually bought some better covers.

No i mean i got them on and every thing seemed alright but i was just asking to make sure, i ran it for a few mineuts and nothing was wrong but i read just now im supposed to torqe them to 107FT pounds? I was wondering not sure if that is alot or not but i might had over tightened them

If they are not leaking, I wouldn't mess with anything.
If they are leaking, I would try to retighten all the bolts. They can loosen up after a heat cycle. I had to retighten mine, after I got the car to operating temps and let it cool back off.
edit: 107FT lb? You TQ lugnuts to 100ft lbs, not VC bolts. Who said 107 for VC bolts?
