tick tick tick under the hood,...what gives?

i looked under the hood last night, and my sparkplug no. 1 and 5 is shooting some spark. i just changed these plugs with TR6 about 1 month ago. and i've been using nitrous since then. what can create this plugs arch (sorry about the spelling). i will change 'em this weekend. i dont have any misfire, and the car is running very strong. i just dont wanna spray my car with the plugs acting up. could it be a bad sparkplugs?? i think i might have dropped no 1 and 5 plugs when i installed it. other than that, please give me clues why is my plugs going bad in such a short time. btw, pass. side plugs are all good......thanks for reading and helping

I think wires usually arch because there is an area of high resistance and if there is a way for electricity to take a path of shorter resistance (ie through the air creating an arch) then that's what they will do. Try swapping those two plugs and see what happens since you said you thought you dropped 'em during the install. It can't hurt swapping two plugs.

true. i will do that. the wires are brand new with less than 3000 miles on them. it's a taylor 8MM, should be pretty strong. can it be a loose connections between the wires and plugs??

Had the same problem, turned out to be a leak from the exhaust manifold gasket.

Not to assume things, but you *think* you dropped them? Did you check the gaps again before installing them?

tick tick tick could be exhaust, injector, piston hitting the head, a few different things

You sure that they dont have any cracks in the wires ?? Or that they are just arcing off metal thats too close to them? Could have been melted somewhere on the exhaust?
