throwout bearing is making noise
I saved up the cash for LT headers and was goin to get it done next week, but now my throwout bearing is making some noise every once in a wiel, somtimes it wont do it all day. I havent heard it for 3 days now and i first heard it a week ago. should i replace my clutch with an SLP and new bearing or just get the headers. Will the throwout bearing last a wiel or do i need it NOW?
Throw out bearing noise is common. Especially after a clutch install, a lot of people go through quite a few before they get a quiet one. I wouldnt too much about it, as long as your are sure its the throw out bearing. If the whine does not occur with the clutch to the floor, and it does not change with variations in RPMs than it sounds like the Throw out bearing. If your car is like my car, what seemed like the throwout bearing was actually the Pressure plate colasping in on itself, it could be a signal of the clutch going out,
