Throwout bearing?

I am really not sure if i am suppose to be worrying about this or not.

I have a 6 speed transmision. T-56

But when i put it in nuetral and pull the e brake and let it idle. If i bend down by the driver's side door i can hear a rumbling noise. like metal fitting loosly on somthing else. or a bad bearing... i am not sure if anyone has had the same problem like this but if u need more input just ask ill be checking this alot
Thanks

Re: Throwout bearing?

Mine does that.. the ticking kinda noise isnt very loud.. Ive replaced it and it still does it... Infact I replaced the entire clutch and tranny setup and it still does it slightly...

It did not do it with an LT1 t/o bearing.. but with the 2 LT4 t/o bearings it has.. and i currently run the lt4 clutch.. It has been no problem for me mechanically.. car runs fine.

Re: Throwout bearing?

My 97's stock clutch did that also. I assume it was the throwout bearing. Never had any mechanical issues, just annoying.
