Throttlebody Elbow Hose

My "elbow" hose that comes out of the throttlebody is dry-rotted and split. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about...the big fat hose that the sensor goes in. The car is a 94 LT1 Camaro.

Anyway, I went to the dealer to check on prices, and was quoted $207! I just got off the phone with another dealer, and they are charging $15.90 for the part. They swear that this is the correct part. I even asked them if this was the huge "elbow" that the sensor plugs into. They assured me that it was. I got the part # from them, which was 10188002. Is this the correct part that I'm looking for, or did they misunderstand me?

Any help would be appreciated. If this is the incorrect part #, does anyone have the correct part #?

That would be nice if the intake elbow really costs $16. Mine was cracked so i bought the 1LE elbow for $60.

1LE p/n is 25147187. Sorry I dont have the p/n for the stock one with the shlong on it. Mine's still in the trash in my garage.

Are you sure they guy isnt referring to the silenser donkey ******* that connects to the Intake Elbow?

Be specific, i'm pretty sure hes quoting you on the silencer connected to the intake elbow under it. I bought a new elbow and did a lot of shopping to get the 1LE Intake Elbow for 60$ (which worked out to over 100$ cdn after boarder and taxes and evil stuff like that)

How much more specific can I be? It's the huge ELBOW hose that connects over the throttlebody and goes to the MAF.

WTF is the "donkey *******" that you're talking about? Is that the huge tube that hooks over the bottom of the ELBOW and goes way down in the engine compartment that you are referring to?

I mean, hell, I could care less what if it's a 1LE part or not as long as it fixes the problem. If I don't need the air silencer then I won't worry about it. I could care less about an air silencer if it isn't needed.

I can see how guy could have gotten mixed up by you referring to it as a hose, which is really what it's not.. its an intake elbow...
Also by referring to it as the "part which plugs into the sensor" is kinda vague and might have thought you meant the intake elbow which has a temperature sensor. Finally I think he misquoted you because the price is ridiculously cheap, a large moulded piece of rubber with a thermosistor in it and hookup will likely cost a lot more than 10-15$.
Finally go to GM parts direct, and the part your referring to shows up as a "hose" and costs 9.06 on that page
Oh and yes thats donkey *******... connects to the part your trying to replace and goes down infront of the fans and is shaped kinda funny...

So if you think you explained it perfectly and its the right part go ahead and get it but i'd put money that its not

p/n 25147210 is the 1LE intake elbow for 93-94. If you want the one with the optispark air supply, you will need p/n 25147187. It will have an extra hole in it for the optispark fresh air supply, but you can plug it off.
The 1LE elbow does not have the silencer that hangs down. The rubber is also a little thicker at the TB flange, so it is less apt to tear.

Cost ~$48.

The technical term for it is the "air cleaner outlet rear duct assembly".

BTW, it comes with a new IAT sensor.

Thanks for the response, Toby. I looked on www.gmpartsdirect.com and it didn't have a picture of the incorrect part#, but then I put in the part# for the 1LE Elbow, and a picture came up. I just ordered part# 25147187. It came to $55.20 including s&h.

I won't need the donkey ******* for the 1LE elbow?

No, don't worry about it. The only difference is the hole for the opti vent. You can plug it off easily (probably much easier than changing your order).
