Throttle cable adjustment (with TCS)
Throttle cable adjustment (with TCS)
I recently installed a 52mm TB that was ported by a company on ebay at some time in the past.
The throttle will stick at 1200 RPM at times, but "slapping" the gas pedal really quick will let the idle return to normal.
I removed the TB and looked and saw interferance in the bores keeping the blades from closing all the way. I've sanded the interferance away and now the blades close all the way when the TB is off the car, but once installed on the car with everything hooked up it will bind up still. When it binds, I can manually push the arm against the stop scew and the car will idle down.
Someone mentioned to me adjusting the throttle cable, as it might be putting enough drag on the mechanism to keep it from returning fully closed.
Does anyone know if it's possible to adjust the cable, and if so how to do it on a car with TCS?
