throttle body spacer

does anyone one make one for an lt1, or are they useless on our engines?

I've got one, it's a TNT F2 nitrous plate.

It works really well.

besides the nitrous that sprays through it, did you notice any gains from it?

The configuration of my Hogan manifold required the spacing of my throttle body forward by approximately 3 inches. As delivered, the end of the fuel rail was about .100" from the rear edge of the linkage. Since the rules require me to run a stock throttle body, changing that piece was non-negotiable. After discussions with people who had had more experience than I, it was determined that the primary effect of spacing the TB was merely to increase the plenum size. You would probably not likely see any real benefit until the engine reached the point that it required more air than the plenum could supply with the existing inlet. Having said that, the car seems to like the set-up so I'm comfortable in leaving it where it is.

It extends the throttle body a half an inch.

It also came with throttle mount bracket extenders to accomodate changing throttle geometry. It also pushes into the water pump housing, which required cutting the metal by a grinder to allow the throttle body to match up. It also pinches (probably hurting horsepower) slightly the rubber intake elbow because it forces it into the radiator support being a half inch extented.

It's a pain in the ***, but I wanted to run the TNT plate system.
