Throttle body questions...

What is the difference between 58mm BBK throttle body ($350) or 58mm holley ($400+)? I mean a 58mm is 58mm right? So whats up with the price diff???

The stock 48mm TB is fine unless you port the intake.

I am porting the intake.....I have been told by my engine builder that the 48mm is good for about 415 crank hp.....I am looking to put down about that at the wheels......so I think the 48mm wont suffice.

OK. If youre porting the intake 52mm or 58mm will work fine. Basically the price difference is the Brand and metal type their made from, but either brand will work fine.

Thats all I needed to know By porting the intake, how much more hp will that make? Also going with a custom cam...227-230 range...

Thats more than I have anticipated....with fully ported heads, intake, and a 230/236 cam....can I anticipate 400rwhp or more? Also changing injectors to 32lbers

With all of that which you are having done and if you get some 1.6rr and a CAI you could probably get close to 350-360rwhp. I really dont know much about the 230/236 cam, but based off of similar cams I think thats a good estimate. I also believe with the 230/236 youre going to need to get your comp reprogrammed. Good Luck!
