Could someone tell me the specs on one of the screws in a stock LT1 throttle body plate? As in what would I ask for to get a replacement?

good luck on a new replacement but you can take one off a junkyard car like a caprice with the 4.6 lt1

 

oh really, never ever saw a 4.6 LT1



there was a 4.3 though(looked like a LT1, was technicaly a L99 though)............

 

I'll have to look next time I'm at the yard but until then I found a bolt that fits and the car runs good so...I can sacrafice looks for awhile

I usually take one of the other screws to the hardware store and say "give me one (or six) that look like this"

 

Couple years ago I changed the Torx TB plate screws, to stainless allen head screws.. I can't remember the thread size tho.. but it was at Ace Hardware store, and a standard [metric?] item..
EDIT I did the TB 'top cover plate', not the actual 'butterfly plate' that you may have meant?..

 

I would take one of the screws off the bottom plate, put it on the top and replace the one on the bottom with an allen head bolt from the hardware store.
