Thoughts on cam and help with motor... Solid roller 244/244 .611/.611 112lsa

I need some help here...
I have this cam, its a cam motions R2441-12 sollid roller. specs are dur at 50 244/244 and lift with 1.6 RR is .611/.611 lobe seperation is 112...
So its a single patter obviously.. i have move detailed specs if you need them to help me.

What i am asking for help on is: is anyone running this cam or simular? based on your knowlage, what do you think of it and its charictaristics

I am having some heads done and the porter is asking me all these questiona and i dont know what to say...

with this cam and a stock shortblock, want kind of compression ratio should i aim for? i thought 11.8:1 but he freaked out with i said that. but maybe he doesn't know about reverse cooling. what CC should the chambers be to run this?

I am looking to have 430 RWHP daily driver, lots of vacume....do you think its obtainable? Should i sell the cam and go hydro?

Here are some detailsif you wanna know
97 LT1
hooker LT, 58mm TB, Computer tuning, heads with be full port stock casting with 2.02 and 1.6 valves

THANKS ALOT

What kind of heads are you using? Unless the exhaust flow is much better than most LT1 heads, you need a split pattern cam.

Vulva ran a solid like that on a 114 on stock heads, 93, "bad tune" and made ~400 RW.

Hunt him down or look for JimS on how to contact him.

Your running, advanced inductions heads right? do you think phil with flex a little bit with me to make a head that is solid roller compatable?(springs and valve seats)...maybe he could give me a lil hookup if i make good power...advertising power

To make up for a single pattern, what about doing a larger exhst valve(2.02i and ~~1.65e)? and/or more porting on the exhst side?

Single patterns are useless on these cars unless you have some BIG exhaust flows. Thats why all the lt1 cams you see are significantly higher on the exhuast duration than the intake.

Of course! I even provided my own springs/retainers just because I had them already. Anyone accepting your money should work with you to the extent they can

JimS ran a 230/230 -110 on his 383 FWIW, and made fine power. I think his reason for a single pattern was midrange power, I haven't seen his dyno sheet in awhile, probably on his site:

http://v8beast.homestead.com/

I believe he turned 430 RWHP?

yea, i tend to agree that there is nothing wrong witha single pattern. I ran close to one (246/250 ) on my car, and Phil Tobin made 500rw with a 245/245...

Are you going to spray this motor? I think I would invest in some forged bottom end parts. That motor should sound really good and pull pretty strong as long as everyhting else is matched. Good luck with everything.

No, not gunna be spraying it as of now, but i am buying a low mile stock shortblock from a freind...this way i will have two complete motors(the near stock one now and ther built one)
i figure it will be ok till 6500 rpm...if anything ever broke tho, i could just put the other one in and the build it.

i guess i should tell who ever is doing my heads the really make sure the exhuast flows well. Nobody here think that i sure go with a bigger valve on the E side?

Ive never seen 215 on the exhaust. You cant go past 1.60 valves b/c you run of of room to seat them
