The low coolant sensor goes bad after a while on these cars. Mine is currently in this state... its on all the time even though my coolant is fine. Ive read its an expensive sensor to fix so i dont really plan on fixing it.

it can't be that expensive, can it???

ive heard its about $90 and a total PITA to do (have to completely drain the system). my car is a weekend toy. I have my eye on the temp gauge all the time anyway because it varies so much. (i hit the fans when it starts warming up). I even have an additional coolant gauge for the passenger cylinder bank that im going to wire up as soon as i install an electric water pump. Ive not had any problems with my car getting to hot ever either.

yeah i paid like 35 from advance auto....drain some coolant..install sensor with clip....top off....get to operating temp...bleed air...whole thing couldn't have taken me more than 30 min
