It's just the Trickflow design sold for really cheap. Yes you can spray paint it as well.

Re: For those of you looking to upgrade your stock elbow

I bought this same elbow last Fall. For those who're looking at this elbow with the intentions of buying it to polish it, save your money. As you can see from the pic posted above, there's alot of imperfections in the surface finish. This is called porosity. When I started sanding mine down all that happened was more and more air bubbles became exposed and left the surface looking like a piece of Swiss cheese. If you're okay with it in as-is form or are just wanting to buy one to paint, it's a good deal, but perfectionists need not apply.

Will this work well for a 93? I haven't got a clue as to how these things fit compared to non-MAF systems. I just got this car, and all that's not on right now, so I have no clue.

It will fit fine. Dimensionally, all the intake elbows from all years of LT1's are all the same. As mentioned previously, the only factor that made them model year specific was whether they had a hole for the vented optispark or not. Depending on if there's casting flash in the IAT sensor hole, (there was a little in mine), the most you'd have to do is grind that out to get the sensor to fit and then you're good to go.

I wonder if you could smooth the elbow with some body filler and then repaint to get the finish and color you were after.

How thick is the aluminum...you could probably sand and buff to give it a polished look.

Re: For those of you looking to upgrade your stock elbow

I bought one 3 days ago, and still have not got a reply from seller via e-mail
or e-bay messages I have sent this company 5 messages in the last 3 days. Kinda make me wonder about the sale. I have already contacted e-bay about the problem. We will see what they say.

Just sand it a little to rough it up and paint will stick to it just fine.
I don't have the exact one but very similar..I think I got it off ebay as well
