For those who have pulled an A4

How and what did you use get the tranny cooler lines off the tranny? I was just under the car looking at the fittings on the tranny and it looks pretty tight up there.

My problem is I have to replace those lines. I have a hole in one of the lines and its leaking tranny fluid like crazy. So I can either cut the line and splice a piece of rubber hose or replace the line which is what I would rather do because of where the hole is (right next to the starter) it would be kinda awkward to cut it there.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks
Z~

If you are pulling the tranny, just lower it with the lines attached. This will allow you to get into them alot better. Use a 1/2' flare nut wrench.

Thanks!

See thats the point the tranny isn't coming out....yet anyway..lol

I just decided to cut an inch out of the line and re-flare each side and use a rubber hose in between for now(BEsides I couldn't wait any longer for someone here to come rescue me...lol). I messed with trying to get the line off but I don't have a wrench here long enough and I could tell I was starting to round off the fitting at the tranny.

But if anyone has some info on how they got theirs off please post...
