Those with pacesetter shorties, are you happy with them?
Re: Those with pacesetter shorties, are you happy with them?
Delighted with mine - I bought them on ebay and was mostly attracted by the price. I needed to do something as the passenger side manifold had a crack in it. I took the precaution of getting them ceramic coated (cost as much as the headers!) My buddy with a ramp installed them for me and told me that he had a reasonably easy time. I had a tune with new leads and plugs etc and the car definately runs better! Good luck

I've had mine for 3 years now and overall I'd say you can't beat them for the price. Mine are ceramic coated, but the y-pipe has started to rust pretty good. Do yourself a favor and run a tap through the AIR fittings if you get them coated or else have fun trying to screw those things back on. The collector bolts on the passenger side are really hard to get to, and I haven't figured out any good way to tighten them yet. Go ahead and throw away all the gaskets that come with the headers. Fel-pro 1406's work well and Mr Gasket ultra seal's work best on the collectors for me. If you use the aluminum or copper ones, they tend to melt and deform causing horrible leaks. I picked up a solid .2 and 2 mph, but that was in Colorado; you might see better results at a lower altitude.
