For those with high rpm miss...try this.
My mods are in the sig..for the longest time I would get a high rpm miss once in awhile (around 5,800-6,200). It felt like a revlimiter almost. A few months back my SES light popped on and I have driven with it on for awhile..my wiring harness got burnt on the one side of the header and cause my knock sensor (not the module..the sensor on the side of the block) wire to burn. I got the harness fixed up, but my SES light popped on again, this time for the actual knock sensor. Got it replaced, and the car runs smooth as silk. For the longest time I believe the knock sensor was on its way out, and I got no SES light untill it really crapped out. Just thought I would let some of you know that the knock sensor might solve your high rpm miss because of it detecting false knock and pulling timing, etc.

Chances are its your coil wire like everyone else...

Weird....Same thing happened to me. After my header install the knock sensor wire got burnt and was grounded. I was getting around 12 degrees and the car was missing pretty bad. After I fixed the wire the car ran great. About 3 months later I got a low rpm stumble. When it starts to stumble I get around 4 degrees of knock and I'd get more knock when it was raining. A month later I started to get a high rpm miss too. I've pretty much replaced or checked every part on the car. I'm gonna do heads and cam in the next 2 months so hopefully that will fix it.

With only 26k its hard to say what it is thats your problem..but you don't necessarily need to have headers for your knock sensor to go bad, my wire for the knock sensor got burnt also..just two things sorta happened at once.

I've been dealing with a high RPM hesitation problem for almost two years now. Dealer replaced the opti and problem began. Took car in many times and they said nothing was wrong. Replaced cap and rotor and problem stayed.
Decided to replace opti one last time before giving up and looked inside opti plug and whoa.......green crap(corrosion). The corrosion damaged opti. So bought new opti and harness and
problem fixed. I would sat that the $100.00 harness and a possible bad replacement opti did the trick. In other words, always check your harnesses for breaks, hard spots, and corrosion. My car jumpped from 13.55 to 13.10's on street tires.

Mods: crane 1.6 rr's, lakewood LCA's and adjustable panhard, BBK 1 5/8 shortie headers, 2800 vig, SLP 2otl exhaust, MSD coil & wires, SLP CAI, stock TB w/airfiol, 3.42 gears
Best Time R/T 60 ft mph
