Those with duals under the axle

Those with duals under the axle
I remember I think it was got hp? that had the red T/A with duals under the axle and wanted to ask how much clearance there was between the rear sway bar and the exhaust. Anyone else who has done it that could help please reply as well I would like all the help I can get I was also thinking of doing 3" all the way back but could just as easily put a 3" to 2.5" reducer after the muffler and run 2.5" under the axle. I dont see why more people dont do this, unless your offroading or have large rocks in the middle of the road you wouldnt run into any problems... especially because of the price though.

Re: Those with duals under the axle
what happens when you jack your car up? The rear end drops down I can just see this being a problem when hitting a hump in the road and your car does one of those rollacoaster deals. But that is just me thinking

i installed two flanges before the axle, so when i want to put the car on a lift, or goto the track, i can unbolt the back part of my exhaust and it dumps before the axle.
as far as humps in the road, i have never hit the pipes at all and i got over all kinds of humps and speed bumps, the roads here blow.
i used 2.5" all the way back from the headers.

BMR sells a Panhard rod reloaction kit that makes it possible to use 3" over the axle for duels.
You can find it here

Re: Those with duals under the axle
not what you asked, but i run 2.75 over the axlewith stock panhard bar. never had a problem exept for just behind the collector but thats with anything. the only thought i would have has already been adressed. he said he removes the back half of his exhaust, i could just see the pipes being crushed the first time it hooks.

Re: Those with duals under the axle
I was thinking about reducing the exhaust size just after the mufflers and just before the rear end to 2.5" from 3" and curious if it will hurt or help performance or do much anything. I figure since the exhaust is cooler and reduced in volume a smaller pipe would keep velocity higher and help clearance but it might just be a crappy idea, what do you guys think?
