THOSE WITH BUILT 7.5 10 BOLT's INSIDE!
My '86 IROC-Z has motive 3.73's, Torsen HD posi, Jeg's girdle cover with braces, welded tubes, pinion spacer, new bearings, synthetic lube, tight lash, 1350 yoke with Denny's driveshaft custom made for viper T-56 output shaft, Moser Axleshafts stuffed in a '95 Z case.
Even with 315's, I am more than certain the tires will break loose before the rearend goes. Now if you plan on alot of drag racing with slicks and a hard launch, upgrade to a 12 bolt. Would be worth it if you could find a ready to go one somewhere around $1200. I may be doing that soon if I plan to do that, but I'm most concerned about getting the friggin motor to run first...money...

i agree, not really worth the $$$$ to build up a 10 bolt. a good cheap setup is what i am running.....
it includes....
SLP take out carrier(from 98 and up f-body)
GM motive gear.
crush pinion sleeve
and WELDED axle tubes
it isnt the strongest out there but it has held up to about 20 passes so far on ET streets. that has given me a best of a 1.8 60' time and many more 1.9's (all on 5,000 rpm clutch dumps). wit 3.73 gears behind a M6!!!!!
but, i am saving up for a 9". it is prolly the most worthwile investment i can think of for these cars.
