Question Thinking of buy a vette

I have been seriously thinking of buying a vette this year. I love the way they look. But my question is which one should i get. I am thinking about a 2001 z06. I plan on doing heads and cam and a bunch of other goodies so which is better for me ls1 ls6? 385 hp or405hp?

No I am still going keep my camaro. Thinking of letting my wife have it though.

HELP need to know. Give me all your ideas

Isn't the LS6 just an upgraded LS1, like the LT4 was an upgraded LT1?

I would assume that the LS6 would be the better place to start.

I head a Z06 vetter last weekend with headers and exhaust and that car sounded beautiful!

I'm thinking of an LS1 Vette, Y2K or 2K1. Z06 would be great but at nearly double the cost, I'll stick LS1.

The Vette is simply a far better engineered car than the F-bodies. I'm considering a new ZO6 myself as one of my buddies just bought one. 405 horse is a pretty decent starting point!

If you have the money go for the Vette.

I have a Z06 and it is a great ride. I would be hesitant to buy a 2001 because there were some problems with oil consumption caused by an oil ring problem. But if you are going to trick out the motor anyway then it's not an issue. checkout corvetteforum.com for more info.

Try www.zo6vette.com, I think it is the best site around.
