thinking about getting a set of pace setters

I'm going to get the ceramic kit with y-pipe and need to know a few things up front
What all goes bye-bye? I have an oil cooler on my 93/m6 so does that go to?
Computer and o2's computer needs to be flashed or? And do I need extenders?

Just tell me what to expect I'm not scared just like to be prepared is all
Heck while we are at it what's the easiest way to do it lol

Re: thinking about getting a set of pace setters

I went with JetHots LT's. I remember the pace setters being a kind of similar design. I have a 95 M6 though. The only thing I remember that needed to be adjusted where the 02 extensions you'll need those for sure.

that much I can tell you.

I got them from Caspers electronics like 6 years ago they should still have them.

The only hard part is getting the stock junk off. That takes forever but once it's done everything looks much cleaner.

Re: thinking about getting a set of pace setters

I would not get pace setters again, I would try to get some stainless headers. My pace setters look like sh** after a little over two years, sure I could get them recoated but then I have to ship them out, and who wants to do that and reinstall them!

They're a pretty darn nice header though for the money. Be ready for rust, lots of rust.

You're using air tools? You must be working on a 70's model truck, not an Lt1

Even if they are ceramic coated. Well I can go hooker or kooks? I thought the
Pace setters were decent
On the air tools comment I admit everything has came off pretty easy

Depends on where you live and where you drive your car that tells as to how long the coating will hold up. The Stainless of course don't have to worry about all that but really any ceremic will start to deteriorate over time. Jethots were supposed to be the best but next to the more expensive ones like Kooks but even their coatings rust up, just less than others. Results always vary when it comes to coatings so don't be too frightened. My JH's still look pretty fresh after 6 years. Even when sitting in a moisture ridden storage facility.

The stock oil cooler does not have to go.
You don't need a computer retune just for headers.
Uncoated headers lead to high underhood temps. Even stainless steel...probably the best combination would be stainless headers, ceramic coated on the inside only.
