thinking about a cam

Yeah i was thinking about getting a cam and i want to know what would be something not to extreme but give me good power because its an everyday car, and would i need to change anything else if i were to get it?

CC 305 w/ headers and you should be happy.

Since it looks like you have a 94 I believe you have to swap your unvented opti for the newer style. Ive been considering it also but dunno if i wanna change the opti crap out. Some people say the replacement ones don't last as long as the originals. I have my original now and its at 92k miles.
Might just have to wait until somethigs wrong until I worry bout switching anything.

I would look at the

CC502 - 218/224 .528/.535 (XE Grind)
CC305 - 220/230 .544/.544
or the Hotcam - 218/228 .525/.525

I haven't heard of having to change the opti.

You can do a search on those three cams and find out what you need. All three are great for the street and the 1/4 mile.

Thats what i've read before, but I believe it CAN be done with the older style. Someone else will chime in here Im sure, that or you can try a search to see.

EX 224/230 (comp ex grind). Drive mine everyday and it does great. It's a little bigger than the cams mentioned, but does fine on the street.
