think my rockers were too tight, consequences?

I've been running my GM performance parts 1.6 roller rockers that I got with my hotcam kit for about 1500 miles now. However I tightened them to approx 3/4 turn past 0 lash. As brought up in my older thread here (http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=526462) this might have been too tight. However I used shbox's guide and also read over the paperwork that came with the RR and both said that 3/4 SHOULD be fine. The car runs absoutely perfect, and there is no unusal valvetrain noise so I didn't think anything was wrong. However after racing from a roll multiple times against a bolt on 350z (intake, headers, exhaust) and a 270 awhp WRX and running DEAD even, I'm beginning to think my car is lacking power somewhere. I'm at a loss now at what I should tighten things to. Please help me out. My current mods are in my sig. Thanks.

If you had true TDC on each cyl. they should be fine but you can back them off to 1/8 turn if ya want.
I would check my tune.

Like 1racerdude said you should be fine, you could always re-lash them. As far as consequences go damaged/collaped lifter(s), possibly bent pushrods. I tighted mine to much which collaped a lifter, which broke a push rod in half. Oh and one of my crane golds got chewed up pretty bad. I put a new pushrod in and it got bent like a banana. Put in a new lifter and pushrod, no problems. This only happened on the intake side of the #1 cylinder.

Yah, I was pretty close to TDC. I think I'm gonna go in and just relash them all to 1/2 turn past 0 lash. I don't have a tune for my new parts yet, and thats probably where alot of my hp is.

1/2 turn is optimal if you still have the stock 3/8" diameter studs.

Yah I still have the stock studs. Also, everything in my valvetrain is from the hotcam kit that I bought so it fit right in stock.

If you have them adjusted a little too tight the valves will hang open slightly. It will cost you power that you will especially notice on the top end.

Exactly what I was wanting to hear. I'm pretty sure with my mods I should be able to pull on 350z's from a roll atleast, after I adjust my rockers lol.
