Question Think I spun a bearing?

Went to the track friday and my last pass it ran like three tenths slower and 7mph less. I hit it on the way home and it just felt really sick, looked at my oil psi gauge and it was reading 20 lbs where as it usually runs 40 or maybe a tad over. No funny sounds really just loss of power and oil psi. Started it up this morning and it ran 40 lbs cold and I let it run say 30 min and it slowly dropped back to 20lbs. Can someone give me an idea of what it may be?

It may or may not always make a noise. Possible it's a main bearing on it's way out. Do you have the stock oil cooler on it? If so, take it off asap.

When a main brg. goes out you will usually see a drop in OP when you accelerate the eng. at operating temp. under load. Danny Mc

Mine did not make a noise when I spun the bearing. Pull the dipstick and check if there are any metal shavings on the end of it. Ask me how I know

They really should make a magnetic dipstick so that I don't have to drain the oil to check the plug. lol, this has happened to me twice now.

If there isn't one already, someone could get rich off that idea

I'd buy one!

Where? Sorry to get off topic, OP. A video of the gauge may help. Definitely get a mechanical gauge on there as well to check.
