Think I purchased the wrong clutch.
Think I purchased the wrong clutch.
I hope someone give me their input. I am new to the game of bolt on mods.
I have a 95 camaro Z LT1, I am going to put in Lt headers with mangaflow cat back,4.10 gears,B&M ripper shift and a Ram premium replacment clutch.
my question is...with these mods and the bigger gear did I buy the wrong cluch or is it ok to use the Ram premium replacment clutch.

Re: Think I purchased the wrong clutch.
You can probably get by with that clutch. I believe it should hold your power and it sounds like its just a stock disc with a better pressure plate as all kits come with the LT4 PP. In my opinion there are only 3 clutches you can run on an LT1. They're an LT4 pressure plate and stock disc, spec stage 4, and street twin. All others seem to have problems being reliable.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm you got me wondering now kinda too. I got the Centerforce II Dual Friction clutch and it grabs very nicely. Only problem I have is it sounds like the throw out bearing is bad and makes noise when the clutch is released but goes away when you push the clutch in or just push the shifter against the gears a lil.

Please do not multiple post the same topic on multiple forums. You've got this in three different locations. It belongs only on "Drivetrain". Others will be closed.
