A week ago i did a valve job and took all lash out. the car ran smoother and i was stoked. 5 days later i started to get a squeak, like a hinge with out oil, from my #7 exhaust valve assembly, i backed the rocker nut off while it was running and the squeak started to change. I redid the valve adjustment and gave it a fresh oil change, but its not going away. I checked the push rod and its not bent. Other than the squeak the engine runs better than it has in the last year I've had the car.

I'm thinking of replacing the lifter and baby the RPMs until i can rebuild the entire top in with better parts.
