Arrow Thickest oil I can safely use?

Currently running 5w-30 and have low, low pressure on a new rebuild.
I do, however, have fuel in my oil. I have replaced the injectors, fuel rail and regulator(As well as plugs, opti, wires, and opti harness [these were bought new]). All were previously used and I still have fuel in my oil.
Problem is, all this work has run my cash flow to a halt. I need to drive this car for a week or two.
I think my new used injectors may be to blame, but til then will 10w-30 help protect from dropping oil pressure? Is there anything else thicker I can use? I did a search and saw some other recommendations but were mostly on built motors. Mine is moreless stock.

How thick can I go?
Would a different filter help too?

PS- can worn[slightly] injector o-rings cause any problems?
Also, which way does the oil filter unscrew? (doh)

Thank you,
Chris

20/50 or some 60 weight racing oil.

20w-50? or 20w-60? Will a local autoparts store have these? I'm assuming these are synthetic?
Thanks for the reply racerdude, you're very helpful on a handful or threads I view!

Thanks
Ya should be able to get 20/50 at AZ or most anywhere.
The 60 weight would have to come from a racing supply or a oil distributor.

IMO, if you have fuel in your oil, you need to correct that problem first and not apply band aids like thicker oil.

I understand your dilemna, but too much fuel in the oil can cause more damage (like bearings and lack of lubrication to the cylinder walls).

It doesn't cost anything to test for leaking injectors or a blown diaphragm in the regulator (two common causes).

From a guide about fuel pressure problems on my website:
If you can't tell a leaky injector from reading the plugs, you can look and see if injectors are leaking by removing the fuel rail screws and pull the rail and all the injectors up, so you can see under them. Leave them over the injector ports. Pressurized the system and look under the injectors to see if any are dripping.
