i'm leaning towards the edelbrocks due to more likely higher quality overall, but i want to hear from people that have them. these are realy my only options without spending a ton on slp headers (i live in cali) so... yeah what do u think?

I agree, of the 2, I'd go Edelbrock.

I do not have them, but a buddy of mine did before switching to Jet-Hot's (moved to Maine). They were very well built, the quality was definitely there.

how much of a gain should i be expecting? i've heard the single cat cars do better with "shorty" headers because they're a bit longer. will i feel a noticeable difference? I already have the rest of the exhaust done (3" high flow cat and 3" hooker catback) thx for the suggestion

I don't know how much power you'll gain but without a doubt you should notice some SOTP difference.

When you get the manifolds off and compare them to the headers, you'll see how laughable the manifolds really are. The Edel's will certainly do you some justice over them in that dept.

I've heard edlebroks don't flow as well as other headers for LT1. You should look into a set of arizona speed and marines, SLP, or MAC.

I think you can find some Mac Mids that are carb legal with all the hookups for 400, but i would highely recommend a coating on them.

the mac's have all the emissions hookups, but i don't think they are C.A.R.B legal. here in cali it doesn't matter how clean your car runs, just if u buy carb **** or not

Last time I checked, Macs are not carb legal even though they have all the emission hook ups.
