LT1 Based Engine Tech 1993-1997 LT1/LT4 Engine Related

Are these LT1 valve covers? Need to know by tonight.

Are these LT1 valve covers? Need to know by tonight.

The mechanic last year also stole my $200 valve covers so will these cheap ones work??

No they won't work. You need a valve cover with the notch in it for the alternator.

i have those almost exact same valve covers made for the LT1 fbodys.. has the notch and everything. $50 shipped if you want em

My alternator was modified from my previous tall valve covers that were stolen. So these are for LT1's right?

lt1s take any centerbolt sbc

you just have to make sure the alt or the pass cover is clearance

Nope there only for 1987-1992 I didn't see the icon on jegs where it says applications lol.

Like others have said as long as you have alternator clearance they should work.

As far as I know those center bolt covers should work fine.

Can anybody confirm this for sure? I am pretty sure that it is only because of the alternator that they will not fit the f-body LT1.

YES you are right, thats why there are alt relocation kits so you can get fancy tall sbc centerbolt ones.

the reason why it says they dont fit is bc of the alt notching. if you have already notched youre alternator they will fit fine

ebay has awesome looking polished cast aluminum LT1 valve covers for like $70

I just orderd a set for 75 bucks shipped..They look pretty good from the pic..

I've run the Proform 141-131 tall for the last 9 years, they're not notched. The 141-130 are polished. A stock '93 engine with 1.7 rockers.
