Thermostats Going Bad

My buddy has a 93 Z28 and he goes threw atleast 4 thermostats a year. Does anyone know what could be causing this, and how to fix it right?

Re: Thermostats Going Bad

That's the craziest thing I have heard lately. Is there something in the cooling system besides the normal 50/50 mix of coolant and water? Have all these "stuck" thermostats been personally verified/tested?
