Is There A Way To Check Opti B4

Is There A Way To Check And Opti While It Is Off The Engine. Pickup A Used That Sayed Was Working When It Was Took Off,but That Is A Lot To Do To Get It On. It Woul Suck If It Didnt Work After All That Work

I have not heard of it. It would take something to turn it, while hooked up to a coil etc.

Just put it on and test, it will make you better at working on your car. After owning my car for 10yrs now, I amaze myself at how fast I have become working on it.

There are 2 sections to it. Low voltage feedback side and the high voltage distribution side. The low voltage side would be easy to test with a voltage source and a voltmeter.

The high voltage side should be obviously visible when looking under the cap. Even if the high voltage side became a problem, if you had pretested the low voltage side, you could easily swap out the cap and rotor without having to replace the back (low voltage feedback) side.

However, all the pretesting in the world will not point out if the unit were put together incorrectly in say a manner in which the rotor or shutter wheel were rotated out of sinc.

How can you tell by looking if the shutter wheel is assembled properly?
