Is there a separate computer for abs?

Lights are constantly flickering on and off on the dash "brake and abs inop". You can hear the relay clicking away under the hood turning on and off again. Tried a different relay and no difference. Without the relay the lights still flicker on the dash. Haven't had abs brakes because of some unknown planetary alignment phase shift occurence for about 7 years now. GM thought it was the abs pump, so I replaced it and no difference still. Replaced the 3rd brake light just in case, replaced the right front wheel hub and sensor because it was throwing a code about 3 years ago, cleaned the rear abs sensor in the rear end still no difference. Replaced the booster and master cylinder and bled the system as well as had GM bleed the system when it was in the shop once, still no difference.

Does anyone know if there is a separate abs computer in the car somewhere, maybe under the dash?

Thanks Dave, I'll check and see how much I can get one from the dealership for tomorrow and when they quote me 2 prices I'll probably be sending you a message.

The "light show" could be caused by a bad ground. There's a ground post on the passenger side fender next to the red positive terminal. Disconnect the negative lead from the battery, remove all the wires on the ground post, remove the ground post and clean the paint off from under the post. Reassemble.

I already cleaned and re-grounded that post last year in an attempt to fix it but that didn't work "thank you for the suggestion". Good news is I found an abs computer at a local junkyard for $35, installed it and no more flickering and once I put the solenoid back in both my abs inop and brake lights no longer stay on while the car is running so I would say that it's probably fixed now.

Edit: The part brand new from GM at my employee discount was $500.00 w/o the traction control option.
