Is there any known PROPER way to port/polish MAF's?

I think this is the last free mod left that I can do.

I have already descreened the MAF and it's worked fine for months. Also have K&N CAI, 1LE intake elbow and will be porting my stock TB soon.

Is there any known correct way to port the MAF without hurting driveability, at least to any major extent? I'm most concerned with mileage. I have the equipment to do very good porting work..I'll keep it on the small side, but what needs to be done?

I looked at that earlier, but the picture and dialog seems to refer to LS1 cars. I dont want to make a mistake by assumig that LT1 cars are the same...but from the people who have done it strictly this way, have you noticed any awkward decreases in driveablity or mileage? Porting can be done many different ways...just want to make sure doing it this way wont hurt overall performance for a few HP I can get elsewhere.

Every car is different, Some people say there car runs better; some say they have problems after doing this. It's basically up in the air if your car like's it or not.

What I would do is buy some used ported MAF ends put them on your car. If your car doesn't respond well to them you can always put on your stock ends on and resell the ported one's.

There has been a lot of talk about this, do a search and you will find more info.
