I want to do 1.6rr soon. Is there a kit that has the springs and retainers? Whats the cheapest self-aligning rr's out there?

 

The CHEAPEST rockers out there would be Scorpions or Pro-Forms.

Other than that, you can get a complete kit (LT4 kit) from any GMPP distributor. Call up Jason Cromer and tell him you want the rockers, springs, keepers, and retainers that come in the Hotcam kit.

I got the Comp Pro Mag 1.6's from Thunder Racing, and called up Jason Cromer and told him I just wanted all the spring stuff that came in the Hotcam kit. He hooked me up. I think it was around $65 for the springs, keepers, and retainers shipped to my door.

 

Do u have the part number for the keepers? Also, are the lt4 springs the best to use with 1.6's. And how much gain did you get. the main reason for the swap is the gain, but im also doing it to freshin up the valvetrain with new stuff. Like springs, retainers etc.

 

I haven't put in my cam yet, but I did install the rockers, springs, etc. last November and dyno'd a couple weeks later. Gained 7 rwhp and 2 lb ft. of torque at the wheels on the dyno. Oh yeah, might as well throw some new valve stem seals on while you're in there.

Your best price will be from Jason Cromer. Search his name on this site and you'll find his 800 number. Tell him what you want (LT4 stuff), you won't need any part #'s. He'll get it for you.
