Scanner Port Bad???

I had a light come yesterday and then go out - second time - so I took it to Advance auto to have it scanned and they said there was no juice at the connection port. Handheld kept saying it needed to be hooked up in order to scan. Is there a fuse or relay that might not be working??? Or do they just not know what they are doing????

check your fuses, one of them does power the DLC, I can't remember which it is right now, and it is not labeled as powering it

Your cigarette lighter fuse is most likely blown.

Re: Scanner Port Bad???

They might not have known what they were doing or their scanner did not have it's own power supply. AFAIK, the 12 pin DLC does not have a pin that supplies battery.

Haven't had time to check all the fuses yet but my radar detector is working fine and it is plugged into my cigarette lighter
