Unhappy temp went into the RED ZONE!!!!

is this BAD? i was runnign the car, FORGOT THE AIR PUMP/FANS fuse popped and im working on gettin the rear taillight out to check the bulbs and then its hits me i look at its as far up as it can get, i turn it right off and pop the hood, i can hear the coolant bubbling and boiling in the overflow tank. i didnt screw nething up did i ??? i put a fuse in for the fans instantly after too and they kicked right on.. should i be alright since its like below zero out and it'll cool right off

It depends on how long it was up there and how hot it really was. Symptoms may show up later.

Mine ran fine even with a blown head gasket. I had some coolant come out the exhaust with extra smoke. Another sympton would be coolant in the crankcase oil.

I did the exact same thing, I turned it off imeditaly and let it cool down. I haven't had any problems since(it happened about a month ago). You'll be fine as long it was only for a few seconds.
