temp so high?
temp so high?
My 97ta that i got today runs real hot (around 210-250)
what can the possibilites be?
i could think of:
Water pump maybe (but wouldnt always be at like the highest temp?)
coolant needs to be flushed (the prev owner didnt really love his/her car lol)
stuck thermo...
fans not going on (i dunno if i can hear them :P)
Imma get the coolant flushed tommorow, and hopefully that'll fix my prob if not i'll check the fans and change thermo, and if that doesnt do it, get the electric water pump
also my oil pres gauge doesnt work, so how and where is this sending unit that i need to change?

Stock these cars run high temps.
The fans don,t kick on till your sure the radiator is gonna blow up, the first thing I did was put in a 160 stat and program the car so the fans will turn on sooner.
Get the flush done, make sure your fans are coming on and maybe change the Tstat out just to be safe.
The oil pressure sending unit is located on the back of the manifold next to the EGR valve, not hard to change I broke mine doing the tranny install.
