If it were me I'd rather fix the cause and not the symptom.
Do you mean the EWP, and new stat I am also installing? Im simply asking where the best place to mount a AutoMeter Engine Temp Sending unit?

No I'd find out why they temp gauge is being erratic. As far as mounting goes I have a mech. oil pressure gauge mounted in "CD carrier" cubby hole in the console.
